I have been very blog negligent these last 3 months...the reason being is that i am now at college and working which meant my blog getting ignored for a while while i found the time managing the other two but now things have calmed down slightly im going to try my best to do at least two posts a week!

This look ive created today is taken from something i created myself as part of a seven deadly sins you may have already guessed this one is Gluttony.
This is the face chart i designed the look on, I found this face chart at

I really need to invest in some decent matt eyeshadows as i think it would've made the whole think look soo much better so feel free to recommend any too me!

Sleek Make-Up Au Naturel Palette Review With Swatches

I know im probably like the last person to do a post about this palette but it honestly took me longer than planned for mw to get my hands on it as every single superdrug i went into didnt seem to have any in stock but luckily i managed to grab the last lonely one to add to this ever growing collection of sleek palettes i have....17 to be exact!! Think im set for eyeshadows for a very long time!!

What Sleek Say: Sleek MakeUP’s Nude collection wraps up your autumn beauty look in one warm, earthy and wearable collection. The Au Naturel i-Divine provides an array of matte and pearlescent eye shadows providing a subtle yet contoured effect for day, that can be built up for a smoky glamorous effect using velvety browns and shimmering fawns.

L-R... Nougat, Nubuck, Cappuccino, Honeycomb, Toast, Taupe,
Conker, Moss, Bark, Mineral Earth, Regal.
This palette contains 8 matte and 4 pearlescent shadows... I must admit i am slightly disappointed with this one as compared to other neutral eyeshadow palettes i own its nothing special and i much prefer Sleeks Storm palette to this one as i find the matte eyeshadows dont show up very well on my skin tone and they were rather chalky so i most probably wont use it much at all but i do quite like 'Taupe' and 'Conker' and 'Mineral earth' so stay put for a look coming soon!

Mac Me Over Mini Haul.

I've not purchased anything from a Mac collection for a while now....mainly because ive been trying to cut back on the amount i spend on make up and nothing has really caught my attention and made me think 'OH I NEED THAT IN MY LIFE!'
Im going through a big Burgundy/Maroon phase fight now...dont know why i jus LOVE it ...anything that colour i just have to have so when looking through what the 'Mac Me Over' collection had to offer as soon as i seen 'Dark Diversion' Fluidline i was very interested!
Since buying it ive not actually properly used it with a full look, i swatched it in store and liked it then once i got it home i swatched it for this post and tested it on myself without any primer/eyeshadow and in all honesty i cant say i was really that kinda goes on a bit patchy and needs to be built up using very small strokes for the colour to really stand out.

I didn't plan to buy anything else but as im a big sucker for a nice lipstick i swatched a few while in store and fell in love with 'Oh, Oh, Oh' ...i've been after a deeper reddish coloured lipstick for a while but i dont think i can pull them off too well as they tend to just drain the colour from my face but this is brilliant as its not a very strong colour and the gold shimmer in it adds just a nice amount of highlight!!!

Both were priced at £13.50 which is a bit more than i've spent on such little make up in a long time but i was in the mood to treat myself!! :)

Mini Shopping Haul #2

Thought id make a quick post on a few new bits of jewellery i picked up whilst on a trip to Primark! I will always pop in once a weak or whenever to see what new inexpensive goodies they have for sale because personally i think you cant beat them for the what if the quality isn't always the most amazing but for a £3 pair if earrings as long as you get a few good wears out of them you cant really complain!! I must admit some of Primarks stuff can bit a bit on the cheap & tacky side but if you have a good eye for these things you can usually find some nice things.

The suede straps & the stone which has an almost petrol kind of two toned effect on this necklace are what really caught my attention i dont own anything else like it and have yet to wear it but im sure i will do eventually :)

Now dont you just LOVE that orange...i wore these out on the weekend with peachy/cream one sleeved slightly floral dress and they looked great...Also seen about 3 other people wearing the same earings as me! You know what they say ...great minds and all that!

Im forever buying braceletes like these and sticking them all in a draw together so i can just grab a random handfull if i ever need to!! :

I Think I Will Have Seen Everything When I See An Elephant Fly.

I love it when i come across nice charity shop finds like recently on a quick wander round The British Heart Foundation charity shop in the town where i work i came across a rather pretty decorated Elephant ...something i've always had quite a love for but dont own any so i decided i would buy it!...Then i noticed there was another which was identical and as Elephants always travel in herds it didn't feel right splitting them up so i just had to have both!

They were nicely priced at £4.99 each....cant complain as it does go to charity! These are a lovely addition to my make up desk/table...needed something to pretty it up a bit and as these aren't that big they are great!! I don't know what on earth they are made of as they were unpackaged and there isn't anything to say where they are made so i sadly cant give any information on that but i thought id share my lovely find with you! :)

Sweet Like Chocolate.

I had half an hour to spare so i decided to do a quick look tried using my new MUA Pro eyeshadow trio 'Chocolate Box' and only that! I found it easy enough to use as it is pretty basic but i found that the highlight shade when used as a highlight made me look like i had sore eyes and i personally felt that the darkest shade wasn't dark enough to be used as a crease colour as it didn't add enough depth to the look so i threw in a few shades from my UD Naked palette!

Products Used...

  • Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin
  • MUA Pro Eyeshadow Trio - Chocolate Box
  • Urban Decay Naked Palette - Sin, Darkhorse, Hustle, Creep.
  • Benefit Magic Ink Liquid Eyeliner
  • Benefit Bad Gal Mascara

My First Shopping Haul!!

Im trying to incorporate as much variety in my blog as i can to keep it interesting...So as i did a bit of shopping with you i thought id share what i bought with my readers :) i might try make this a regular thing, im not too sure as i dont always go shopping every week but ill see how i go on!
My first finds were in Dorothy Perkins ...i was on the look out for some new gold necklaces as the ones i have ive completely over-worn and have started to go a bit off colour! The one on the left was on sale for just £3 reduced from£12.50!! I love the thickness of the actual chain itself as theres probably less chance of it breaking one me! The one on the right was reduced to £5 from £18 and is a combination of gold chains and bits of leather....i was incredibly with my lovely bargains!! :D
Next stop was Waterstones, i do have iBooks on my iphone and im aware of things like Kindle but i personally think that you cant beat a good old book! Here i picked 'One Day' by David Nicholls...heard a lot of good things about it and i want to see the film so i thought id get myself a copy but dont know if ill do book or film first?!...As it was on 3for2 i also got myself 'Belle' by Lesley Pearse which sounds rather interesting and i got my niece a copy of 'The very hungry caterpillar' :)

Because I dont have tonnes of clothes as it is I found this lovely top in new look for just £9.99... I absolutely loove the print and for some reason im getting ..very into navy lately and its as close to black as ill go when it comes to clothes.

My hair has started to go a tad flat and lifeless recently so i thought id try a bit of volumising shampoo/conditioner ...i dont know if this particular one is any good but i do rather like Aussie products so i thought it cant hurt to try it ...and all the Aussie hair products are currently on offer in superdrug ...2 for £4.99 :D

MUA Pro Eyeshadow Trio

Whilst in Superdrug picking up the highly talked about MUA Pro 'Heaven and Earth' palette... (wasnt planning to do a review as ive seen ALOT but if you would like to see one please let me know!!)...I was having a look through all the other new MUA products and this beaut caught my eye!
I generally avoid eyeshadow trios/duos unless i reeaally like them, i just prefer to have palettes as their easier to work with but for the price of this i couldn't complain!
This one is called 'Chocolate Box' ...I think there were about 4 maybe 5 other eyeshadow trios but this was the only one that really caught my eye as the shadows in the other ones looked very similar to some of the individual MUA eyeshadows.
It comes with an incredibly small kinda pointless sponge tip applicator which went straight int the bin, personally i think it would've been better without it and they could've made the eyeshadows slightly bigger!
All 3 are shimmer eyeshadows, incredibly pigmented, apply and blend incredibly well and has left me very impressed. I dont think i could just use these 3 on there own for just one look as i dont find the darkest shade dar enough for my crease and i wouldn't use the peachy shadow as a highlight but i will definitely have a play and see what i come up with so expect a look soon! :)

Sleek Pout Paint!

When i first found out about these i was incredibly excited but a tad sceptical too as i am with most new products that look amazing but then sometimes turn out to be atrocious...i mean could the Pout Paint really be as good as the OCC Lip Tar?
What they say...

Pout paint is the new ultimate lip pigment that provides a blast of colour in one purse sized tube! The intensely saturated formula provides outstanding colour pay-off in just one tiny speck, and dries to a long lasting satiny finish. With a wide variety of Pout Paints to choose from you can mix up your very own unique shade using a combination of colours, or simply go for one stand out striking pop of colour.

There are 11 Pout Paints in total, i have 8 so far, and are available to purchase from most Superdrugs nationwide or the Sleek website for just £4.99 each ....In Superdrug they are currently on 3 for 2 so you cant go wrong with an offer like that :)

With both Pout Paints & Lip Tars contain 8ml of product with the lip tars costing around the £9 mark depending on where you buy them so your making a nice saving of £4!
Packaging wise they are both pretty easy on the eye but in all honesty i do prefer the simpler design & white lid of OCC's Lip tars but the nozzle on the pout paints make for a much easier application, you dont end up using too much product and they are less messy.
L-R Cloud 9, Pin up, Peek-a-bloo, Pinkini, Minx, Mauve over, Peachy Keen, Port.
Ive not as yet had much chance to play about with these and test out how long they last once on the lips just yet but i cant wait to get mixing and see what colours i come up with!

....Also For a great DIY way to make Pout Paints more wearable on a day to day basis head on over to Makeup Savvy!!
